Carnmoney Parish Mothers’ Union is a long established Branch. The earliest mention of it is in the 1905 annual report for Down, Dromore & Connor (as they then were). This is held by the MU Ireland Administration in Dublin.
We are very proud that it continues to thrive today. Currently we have 29 active members meeting monthly from January to December with a break during the summer months (June, July and August).
The MU is a worldwide charity bringing support and care for family life to the heart of every community and works through 4 million Christians in 84 countries.
Our programme consists of interesting speakers, outings, afternoon teas and various fun activities throughout the year. A friendly group of active and enterprising members helping to bring people together to enjoy fellowship and fun.
If you are interested you will be made most welcome to come along to any of our meetings and activities. Please telephone Shirley (028 90842008) or Marion (028 90835556) for further information and details.
Emergency Toiletry Packs
Our members buy essential items to make up into Emergency Toiletry Packs which are given to A & E Departments at Antrim Area Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital. These packs are given to patients who require them and are gratefully received by the staff. The photos show some of our Members who have contributed to these packs and also some of the packs ready for deliver.
|Mothers Union Prayer
Loving Lord, we thank you for your love so freely given to us all. We pray for families around the world. Bless the work of the Mothers Union as we seek to share your love through the encouragement, strengthening and support of marriage and family life. Empowered by Your Spirit, may we be united in prayer and worship, and in love and service reach out as your hands across the world. In Jesus' name. AMEN
